The Eclipse March 8 6:54pm some suggestions for activity.

(There is going to be some funkiness with this transmission I bet.  My computer wanted to berserk.)

This is the NEW MOON OF ADJUSTMENT.  A cosmic Chiropractic alteration.  It’s experimental and ADAPTIVE.  FLEXIBILITY is KEY!

What stops me from connecting to my inner divinity?
What if I open to the perfection of life?

What if I trust the universal timing of all things?

Is the truth of who I am nurtured here and now?  If not, what would it look like if it were?

If I fully remember who I really am, my oneness with all things, my ancient, sacred self, do I carry all my karmic crap and past grievances with me?

“We’ve arrived at the next major turning point in a series of Virgo-Pisces eclipses that will continue through the year.  The Virgo-Pisces polarity is all about cutting through delusion, listening to intuition and acting accordingly.   We must enact the highest expression of who we want to be at the beginning of each lunar cycle. But there’s nothing to fear because we’re ready, and have been for awhile, to leave this year behind and start on the next path.” ~astroyogalove.com
Geez, wow.  This is ritual to tie you to ritual forever.  It was hard to remember my ujjayi breath through the tears of joy. I’ll be doing this one a lot.  Check out her other videos as well.  Ana Forrest is a real hero of mine.  A wild and beautiful animal to boot.~L

“If you can tune into the core issue of what’s unravelling and reforming, you’ll keep your head above water. Jupiter Rx and the North Node in Virgo oppose this eclipse, connecting solutions, improvements and good news to whatever happens.”~rubyslipper.ca

“Solar Eclipses happen when the Moon passes through the Moon’s Nodes at a New Moon. This Eclipse is high drama because of the major planetary players hanging out near the nodes. The Moon and the Sun and Chiron are in Pisces near the S. Node of past karma. We are learning a lot about what no longer serves us from our past. Mercury joins the party in Pisces on March 6th, bringing forward this quest for understanding and release of the past.”

“Let your heart likewise expand this cycle. Let your imagination run free. Business can take care of itself. The cherry trees are in bloom. You might be yearning for a little poetry or the delicious escape of a movie marathon.  Can you let yourself drift and dream? Soon enough the Equinox will be calling you to action. Next month brings the Warrior’s New Moon. Prepare now by first drawing closer to your soul.
If you stir dirt into a glass of water, it gets murky. But if the glass sits for awhile, the dirt will settle and the water will clear. Something similar happens to the mind in meditation, which is another fine way to meet this New Moon. Without expectations, enter the void. This is the end of the zodiac; all signs are contained within it. Perhaps you can sense this, how harmoniously Pisces holds everything and dissolves everything, how this readies us for the Aries adventures to come.  This cycle may we all find, on our fragile spinning globe some grace, some power, the hand of sweet guidance. Call it faith or hope; both belong to Pisces. And let’s join with Swami Beyondananda in his prayer to the hot dog vendor:  “Make me one with everything.”~mooncircles.com

“What is the most important word in the English language?” she demanded.
“Love?” asked one. Beato shook her head.
“Beauty?” ventured another.
With a dramatic pause backed by 90-odd years of hard-won wisdom, Beato announced: “The most important word in the English language is No.”
Sometimes Yes begins with No.  As we sort and filter the new beginnings flooding in, we’re carving out a new pathway for ourselves. It may be excruciating to say No to whatever is no longer working for you or to those who want a piece of your action, but doing so can set you free.~Simone Butler of AstroFengShui.com on Beatrice Wood.  Check out her Pisces New Moon Ritual: Water Gazing

(NEWSER) – Something very weird has been spotted in space, and a quote from an astronomer at Penn State gets to the heart of why it’s so intriguing: “Aliens should always be the very last hypothesis you consider, but this looked like something you would expect an alien civilization to build,” Jason Wright tells the Atlantic. The “this” he’s referring to involves an unusual star in the Northern Hemisphere’s sky named KIC 8462852, one that the Kepler telescope first began looking at in 2009. Based on the weird light pattern it’s emitting, the star appears to have a “big mess of matter” around it, writes Ross Anderson.
“Radio signals from beyond our galaxy that are behaving in strange ways. Fast radio bursts—or FRBs—are very rare, very quick blasts of radio waves originating billions of light years away, Popular Science explains.  This research shows for the first time that there can be multiple FRBs from the same place in the sky,” researcher Shami Chatterjee says in a press release. “Whatever produces the FRB can’t be destroyed by the burst, because otherwise, what would produce the next pulse?” And the mystery deepens: “We’re showing that whatever battery drives FRBs, it can recharge in minutes,” astronomy professor James Cordes says.”~Newser.com
(Also, remember Asteroid 2013 TX68 that has the potential for a close fly-by?  It is late.  It was predicted to arrive on 3/5, but it looks more like it will show up on . . .you guessed it . . .3/8 . . .~L)

The New Moon Eclipse brings the Dragons Tail, and the Full Moon Eclipse brings the Dragon’s Head. Eclipses are relationship oriented, the relationship with yourself (New Moon), and the relationship with others (Full Moon).~zenory.com

“The moon’s orbit is inclined to Earth’s orbit by about 5 degrees. Twice a month the moon intersects the ecliptic – Earth’s orbital plane – at points called nodes. If the moon is going from south to north in its orbit, it’s called an ascending node (Rahu~L). If the moon is going from north to south, it’s a descending node (Ketu~L). If the full moon or new moon is appreciably close to one of these nodes, then an eclipse is not only possible – but inevitable.
In the year 2016, the new moon and full moon align with the lunar nodes to present a pair of eclipses in March, and a pair of eclipses in September. In September, an ascending node annular solar eclipse on September 1 is followed by a descending node penumbral lunar eclipse on September 16.”~earthsky.org

These lunar nodes, or orbital nodes of the Moon, are points where the orbit of the Moon crosses the ecliptic — the apparent path of the Sun across the heavens against the background stars. The ascending node, also known as the dragon’s head, is where the moon crosses to the north of the ecliptic. The descending node, the dragon’s tail, is where it crosses to the south.

In Vedic astrology Rahu, the north node, and Ketu, the south node, are called shadow planets, chayya grahas. According to ancient seers like Parashara and Jaimini, Rahu represents knowledge, whereas Ketu represent liberation. The Rahu-Ketu axis embodies the polarized karmic forces that pull us to incarnate into matter on the Earth (Now you know who to blame or thank!~L) and mark the timing of certain struggles that the soul must endure to reach the highest knowledge of self.  (Fantastic.~L) This timing is often initiated during eclipse periods. Eclipse point (Sun-Moon conjunction) = 18°56’ Pisces, (Aquarius for sidereal or Vedic~L)
Element: Water
House placement: 6th

Type of eclipse = Total (happening at the New Moon),
conjunct “dragon’s tail”

Co-rulers = Jupiter (Virgo) and Neptune (Pisces).

Major aspects to Eclipse Point
(traditional orbs apply):
aspects that are likely to carry the most weight are
marked with an “*”
                Jupiter – opposition*
                Ascendant – inconjunct
                MC – trine
                Saturn – square*
                Pluto – sextile
                Uranus – semi-sextile
                Neptune, Chiron* – conjunction
Angular placements:
Pluto, Uranus  (We have talked about this square before.  It’s that thing that’s been bugging Deb for 4 years.  Finally reaching it’s LAST MONTH.  (I know, I feel like I have written that before, too.~L))
So, as usual, I could go on, there is no shortage of information on this eclipse.

Saros Cycle

The periodicity of solar eclipses depends upon two lunar orbital cycles
coinciding with the moon passing through a node. First, a new moon occurs on
average every 29.530588 days. The moon’s average orbital period, perigee to
perigee, is 27.554548 days. These cycles repeat every 18 years, 11 1/3 days;
or 6585.3211 days; or 233 new moons, approximately 239 perigees and 242
nodes. Every eclipse in a Saros family shares the same 18 year, 11.33 day
cycle.

(To explain: this eclipse is the 19 year older sister of one that occurred in 1997.  Because this cycle is measured by the zodiac and Pisces is the last sign . . . it ends a Saros cycle or the eclipse that occurred in 1997 is similarly aspected to the one tomorrow.  That is your last suggested activity.  Remember what you were doing in March of 1997.~L)

Saros The best known eclipse cycle, and one of the best for predicting eclipses, in which 223 synodic months equal 242 draconic months with an error of only 51 minutes. It is also close to 239 anomalistic months, which makes the circumstances between two eclipses one saros apart very similar.

I get a little insecure about these posts at times, but I hope that you take them as I intend: like a newspaper.  Look over the content, decide what you are interested in and leave the rest.  I know you know, but sometimes a statement of intent goes a long way toward the appearance of sanity.  Just embodying the contradiction!

Your Lunatic,
~L
