The Aries Full Moon is Super! (“Ja, Supar!” for those of you in my Swiss-German class)

“If you’ve been feeling anxious and ungrounded as of late, you are not alone. It may have been a rocky couple of weeks, but keep the faith: the Full Moon ofOct 15, 2016 (9:23 PM PT) will shower the planet with a much-needed dose of healing light, ushering in a new era of harmony and abundance, and dispelling the shadows of fear and doubt.

Known in India as Sharad Purnima, this Full Moon is said to open a portal to Lakshmi, Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity. Lakshmi’s divine feminine influence, or shakti, will infuse the moon’s bright rays, detoxifying our bodies and increasing the flow of wealth in our lives. If the universe has seemed to be holding back, or it’s felt like you’re running in place, this month’s Full Moon will provide just the remedy.”

Lakshmi – Goddess of wealth, fortune and prosperity.

In recent weeks, due to the influence of a formation called Serpent of Time, or Kala Sarpa Yoga, tensions have been reaching an all-time high (think Trump’s litany of scandals). Conflicts, stresses and unexpected events have arisen as the serpent’s power (Rahu) has amplified. But Kala Sarpa Yoga also has the power to instigate powerful shifts in consciousness and accelerate the pace of change, so ride the wave and you’ll reap the benefits.

Positioned at the very last degree of the sidereal Zodiac, this Full Moon transits the tip of Pisces’s tail, the starknown as Revati. While Revati’s primary influence inspires love and harmony–and shepherds lost animals home–give yourself a healthy dose of compassion, as it may also bring up feelings of discomfort. With its position at 29 degrees Pisces, this Full Moon falls at the cusp of radical change.

At ten p.m., just 40 minutes after the moon reaches its peak of fullness, it will cross into a celestial twilight zone known as gandanta. This unpredictable cusp position could set off a series of strange or unexpected events, particularly with the influence of fiery Mars and its conjunction with Uranus, known for delivering shocks.

But those shocks will feel minor as compared with the host of positive changes and new opportunities ushered in by the Revati Full Moon. If you’ve been feeling the heat since last month’s eclipse, you’ll soon get some relief. Prepare to welcome in a new era of abundance and prosperity, and ride the wave of uncertainty until you reach the next level.”

“Full Moons are always a balancing point in the cycle, where we reflect on the opposite energy from that in which we began the lunar cycle on the New Moon.

This cycle started off in Virgo, a place where we attempt to get practical and manage all the details in our lives. Sun and Moon were in Hasta nakshatra, the sign of the hand, where we attempt to maneuver everything through our own skillfulness.

This Full Moon falls opposite from here, in the sign of Revati, in the very last degrees of Pisces. This part of the zodiac shows us where we need to let go, and surrender our efforts, trusting in the skill of the divine hands.

This lunar cycle began with the Sun and Moon joined in Virgo. This inspired us to spend this month organizing the details in our lives, clearing out the clutter, and harmonizing our beliefs with practical routines. It’s been a time for arranging things in our material world and intellectualizing things sensibly. The cycle began with Sun and Moon Hasta nakshatra (“the hand”), compelling us to put our hands to work in skillfully weaving the tapestries of our lives.

With the Moon now in Pisces, opposite Virgo, we reflect on the parts of our lives that cannot be maneuvered through our physical efforts, nor organized in our intellectual minds. Some things will never fit into earthly boxes or material understanding. Pisces’ energy ushers us to go beyond the earthly plane and dive into the ethereal waters to ride the waves of spirit. Though we do not cease our Virgoan effort towards becoming more organized, the reflective juncture of the Pisces full Moon teaches us to surrender the fruits of our effort and leave the final outcome in the divine hands.

On October 16th, the Sun will go into Libra, where he is considered debilitated.  With this placement we can tend to exhaust ourselves by attempting too many balancing acts. Sun and Saturn will both be putting the pressure on relationships now. Though we have the desire to purify them and make them stronger, it is also really important to remember to step back and take care of ourselves as well. Self-care is very important during Sun in Libra (for the next month), as our immunity can be lowered and we are more susceptible to physical and emotional depletion. Be sure to have warm and nourishing food and drink, keep your head and neck protected from the cold and wind, and take some time for grounding meditation.

This Saturday night, take a step back from your efforts to organize everything and reflect on deep surrender on the Pisces Full Moon.”

Saturday (in the US) is the Full Hunter’s moon which means it’s the Libra solar festival (23 degrees Libra).  The Libra festival involves Uranus in Aries, bringing us “all things new.” It may be a time of unexpected events and new realities. We observe with poise & equilibrium (Libra’s task)”

“It means that being who I really am is not forbidden or muted just because others are uncomfortable or don’t want to hear it.”
  • Center yourself and meditate on a decision before you that might generate some conflict; either within you, if you withhold who you are, or between yourself and others, if you exert who you are.
  • Breathe steadily and feel both the friction of being invisible and the friction of being visible
  • Breathe slowly and know that you are larger than any moment of conflict
  • Breathe deeply and know that who you are can withstand the experience of conflict that living requires.”

While I did not suppose that I would have greater insight or some fantastic revelation in my first week overseas, I did hope I would have some pictures uploaded for this Mooncast, Yoganauts. I have been very busy getting acclimated in the flat (it’s not an apartment, I’m told) and the first week of the 4 week course is quite demanding.  I have taught twice since arriving here Sunday and can only write tonight because I don’t have to tomorrow!  Everything is going quite well so far; making friends and learning my way around.  The angels are really in the architecture here in Prague, but the countryside and the river are lovely as well.
I have realized that I made the right move to accelerate my path by coming here.  I have had revelations about teaching and understanding that have knocked my socks off already.  The whole experience has been very profound.  I arrived at the third quarter moon exactly and it was bright in the sky with the sun as I glided over the green lushness of the Czech countryside.  It reminds me a bit of the Midwest in climate, Prague does.  I feel like I am caught up in the rhythm of my life in a way I never have been before, really paying attention and noticing (but maybe that’s because there is so much to notice).
So, if the message of the full Hunter’s moon is surrender, then I must.  Sleep has been a bit of a rare commodity lately and I have to be careful of my vessel on this journey.  Hope you understand if I sign off and get some rest.
I miss you all, very much,
I am so grateful for all of your help.
Mind your heart,
