Sagittarian New Moon

on 29 Tuesday November 8:55 pm for you 13:18 for me asks:

“Can I learn to speak a difficult truth in a loving way?

 Even when I am triggered?”

~ Mama Maga of

So here is a really triggering rant: despite the fact that he did not pull us out of Afganistan or close Guantanamo, I liked Obama.  I liked him personally, but I did not need a leader who could dance on Jimmy Fallon and get along well with narcissists.  I needed a leader who would be ready when the holy people who tend the sacred connection to the land asked for morality to count.

We are all aware that money has been ruling our lives more and more since the 60’s.  That was the moment when the military industrial complex took over, prisons became traded on Wall Street and we completely lost our moral compass.

“In October 2013, the incarceration rate of the United States of America was the highest in the world, at 716 per 100,000 of the national population. While the United States represents about 4.4 percent of the world’s population, it houses around 22 percent of the world’s prisoners.[1]“

The people protecting the Missouri headwaters (for most of you that’s YOUR DRINKING WATER–and someone else is protecting it FOR YOU) are about to become part of that statistic on Monday December 5th.  Please find your feelings on this matter.  Please look into your heart and see if love for this earth and each creature inhabiting it does not live there still.  Look into your heart and see if you can feel the adjustment this New Moon asks us to make.

This patriarchy, this abandonment of ourselves to the highest bidder and the biggest bully is failing.  It never was a good plan, anyway.  These things that seem so scary are simply last grabs at power by the people we trained to protect us from a world that isn’t trying to hurt us, anyway.   This world IS trying to change us.  We need to see that caring is our collective superpower.  It’s hard see that when you’d rather sleep.  To care one needs to be attentive, alert (the world needs more ‘lerts) and compassionate.

SO!  This week could have some amazing happenings as Venus in Capricorn and Neptune squares the new moon in Sag (ruled by Jupiter, yo).  It is time to choose how to go forward.  Waiting for her accountants to count the votes isn’t going to cut it.  Bloody revolution and acting from fear isn’t going to get us out of this.  You guessed it Yoganauts, the change has to come from within.  What could be easier or better?  Stand in your truth and BREAK THROUGH.  You know what needs to go.  This is the moment.

No more going along to get along.  Time to wake up and STAY AWAKE.

Have Faith.  Feel Hope.  Love Never Dies.  Love Always Wins.

“Having the so-called ugly feelings DOES NOT CREATE YOUR REALITY; splitting off from them does, (remember, “dis-pair” “depress”? ~ L) because the feeling is thrust in shadow, repressed, where it will continue to fester and grow and become the lens through which you view life. If you’re having a feeling, you have a damned good reason to have it. Feelings are not facts; feelings are a barometer of what’s going on with you.”

“Why is it so hard to just love one another? Why can’t it be enough, to love each other, to love this beautiful earth? Why can’t we just do that? Why can’t I just do that? Why can’t I just be happy and loving? Why can’t that be enough?”
I had no idea how deep my grief was. Absolutely no idea.
(And may I just add–to this heartbreakingly REAL and poignant post: Thank you, Mr Trump, whatever you are, for showing me how deeply I am grieving the state of this planet.  I am spending so much time trying to hide who I am, how I feel and get by that I forgot.  No more going along to get along.  It’s time for me to wake up and STAY AWAKE, as Europe and the elders at Standing Rock are showing me.~L)
And I think under what I was saying was a very plaintive – Why can’t I be loved and accepted, just as I am?
and under that – the ultimate question:  Why can’t I love myself just as I am?”

There is no longer any reason to fear, any reason to hold back, any reason to hide, and to not open my heart to you. The time of hiding my heart, thinking strategically about what I say and what I share is past.

We have come into a time of needing great heart, and great honesty about what we are really feeling, so we can get past all the resentment, all the anger, even the grief, and find the love. ~Scout Wilkins

The Sun stands virtually centered in Sagittarius aligned with the Great Attractor at this time. This is very hopeful. The Great Attractor includes all known frequencies of light and energy. Nothing excluded or ignored. The Great Attractor permits a look around objects such that total transparency can be demanded.

The conjunction of Uranus and Eris is in Aries. Ultimately, for everyone, it all comes back to you. How does it affect you and what are you going to do to ensure your most innovative and progressive ideas are included by the collective? How are you going to find a fit that permits total application of all the tools you received by birth or cultivated thus far during this incarnation?

To the point of self expression, how can you declare your connections to the Sun in Sag and line ups with Great Attractor truths in a manner that does not appear dictatorial, or as if you have some sort of conversion therapy in mind?

Yes, there is a revolution in progress. It is internal and it is the summation of your spirit and consciousness seeking to find the greatest and most far-reaching applications possible. With the Sun at your back, perception intact and progressive vision as your lodestone, affirm, confirm and declare your perfect fit. What a gift to give yourself just in time for the holiday season.”  by Philip Sedgwick

A Micromoon happens when a Full Moon or a New Moon coincides with apogee; the point in the Moon’s orbit farthest away from Earth.

The Moon orbits Earth in an elliptical path, which means one side of the path is closer to the Earth than the other.

The Farthest Point

The point in the Moon’s orbit closest to Earth is called perigee, while the point in the orbit farthest from Earth is known as apogee. The average distance between Earth and the Moon is 382,500 kilometers or 237,700 miles.

When a Full or New Moon occurs around apogee, it’s called a Micromoon, Minimoon or Apogee Moon. A Full or New Moon occurs around perigee is called a Supermoon.

“The new moon in Sagittarius occurs on November 29th at 4:18 AM PT. Sagittarius is the centaur, half-man, half-beast, holding a bow and arrow. Sagittarius is a sign that brings together both our impulses and our intelligence. It is a sign that aims its arrow towards the truth. A sign that seeks the meaning of the moment. A sign that burns bright with an unquenchable thirst for life, it reminds us of the dangers of overextending.

Because this new moon ties together the Saturn/Neptune square that was a key factor in 2016’s astrology, we now get to witness the dissolving effect that Neptune has on the Saturn structures of our lives. This moment, weighty with meaning and yet still very unknown in its impact, is one we must show up to.

‘You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world’s problems at once, but don’t ever underestimate the importance you can have, because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.Michelle Obama’ ”

“The brash and highly charged New Moon at 7 degrees Sagittarius takes place on Tuesday, November 29th (6:18 AM CST). This is one most people will feel coming. The New Moon will be conjunct fixed star Antares and in exact conjunction to soul mate asteroid Juno, square Neptune at 9 degrees Pisces and the North/South Nodes at 8 degrees Virgo/Pisces.” ~Clarissa at

(You know this music, Yoganauts.  You are ready for this energy.  This is the moment when you can clearly DISCERN (viveka, viveka, viveka) where we are deluding ourselves, where we are being deluded by others, what’s beyond our self-imposed limitations and how to see through habitual assumptions.  The contrast will be extreme, but fruitful. ~L)

“In thinking about abundance and the give-away idea, I was reminded of the Vedic concept of the purusharthas, or the four aims of life. The four aims are: dharma (duty, truth), artha (material prosperity), kama (pleasure), and moksha (spiritual liberation).  These are pursuits we follow in order to live a balanced and fulfilling life of purpose.  Each of the four pursuits are indicated once on the individual level, the interpersonal level, and the societal or universal level.

Dharma most generally indicates the idea of right living. It represents the idea of doing what is right, and living in truth.

Artha represents the idea of fulfilling a purpose in the material world. This includes the work that we do as professionals, as well as the material prosperity we gain from it.

Kama is actually the name of desire personified as a Hindu deity (aka Kamadeva, similar to Eros or Cupid). We are all divine sparks, but the universal design placed us divine beings here to live a human experience. The desirous mind is part of what makes us human, and part of humanity’s aims as indicated by Vedic thought.

Moksha is the idea of spiritual liberation, freedom, or the breaking of bondage. The fourth house is the dharma house of the individual level. It represents our innermost heart space (as well as personal spaces like our home and vehicles). It is through the fourth house and the heart that we find peace at the individual level.”

When we achieve abundance and fulfillment here, we have one of the greatest gifts that we can then give in turn: wisdom.  The great saints and sages stay on earth to teach and inspire, to love and serve, until every last one of us reaches the ultimate state of moksha.  Until then, we hopefully find inspiration to give away what we can to support others, as demonstrated by turkey medicine.

Today I am in Warsaw.  Having coffee and waiting for my AirBnB (which I am sharing with 3 other Angloville “native English speakers”) to be ready.  My apologies to Budapest, I much prefer this friendly and fastidiously clean northern city.  Truth be told, I really like ALL the people I have met in these glorious central European cities, the preferences about the cities are merely aesthetic.~L

My mind is still pretty mushy, Yoganauts.  I essentially did a Master’s degree worth of work in a month while living with unescorted children in a foreign city, then traveled from Prague to Hungary to Warsaw to Belarus and back again on a teaching tour.  Now I must establish myself either in Brno or Prague begin a series of interviews (my teachers at Oxford House have set me up with about 20 schools!) and start my life anew.  As weird as it sounds, this is oddly fun, exhausting and NEVER, EVER boring.

Those lessons we did about viveka and yogic discernment keep coming back for me.  Boundaries.  We must say “no” when it is appropriate.  Even darkness serves light and we must be skilled in the use of both.

I think our Native American elders are showing us the appropriate use of “no”.   There are some limitations to what’s OK and what’s not OK, but how do we agree in such a crowd?  With all the forces acting upon us? The pace of our lives?  The danger to our future?  When we are so far BEYOND triggered?

As usual, self-care is essential at this juncture.  Part of self-care is staying aligned with my wonder, magic and divinity.  Another part of self-care is telling it like I see it.  It’s not OK to allow governments and corporations to rule immorally, hurt people and the planet.  Gotta vote with my dollar, do the right thing and break through.

We are SO provided for.  This planet has been KIND to us.   In return, I will try to put a little space around others and their journeys.  Feel the feels and move toward forgiveness.  Compassion might work better than shame. If we unify, we might get through this.  But if we divide further, this planet is going to scrape us off like gum from a shoe.  If we are divided, we all lose.

“Since ancient times it has been understood that through division we are conquered by this world, but through friendship and unity comes true success. This new moon cycle will lift the heavy veil that separates us from one another, allowing for the light of understanding and empathy to flood in. Anuradha is called the “star of success” because it is ruled by the empathetic god of friendship, Mitra.  This Vedic aditya rallies its allies together, and even befriends its enemies to unify and create tremendous power.”
