May I learn all the ways in which my self-obsession inhibits me from being able to experience you as you are, not as I think you should be. May I look for all of the assumptions that I have created. All of the prejudices I have been handed and that I consciously and unconsciously perpetuate. All of the limited understandings of you that I project on to you everyday. May I commit to rewiring my mind to be humble enough to know that I don’t know you but that I am willing to learn about you. May I remember that getting to know you is an honor and a blessing.”
“A Black Moon (in some parts of the world)
From the Western Hemisphere, the new moon occurring on Friday, Sept. 30, is a Black Moon.
September 2016 is host to a somewhat unusual lunar event: a second new moon in a single month, an event some people call a “Black Moon.”
While a full moon refers to the moment when the moon’s Earth-facing side is fully illuminated by sunlight, a new moon refers to the moment when the moon’s Earth-facing side is fully in shadow. (Unfortunately, that means the Black Moon will be more or less invisible, even if the moon is high in the sky).” ~www.space.com
This composite image shows suspected plumes of water vapor erupting at the 7 o’clock position off the limb of Jupiter’s moon Europa. The plumes, photographed by NASA’s Hubble’s Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph, were seen in silhouette as the moon passed in front of Jupiter. Hubble’s ultraviolet sensitivity allowed for the features, rising over 100 miles (160 km) above Europa’s icy surface, to be discerned. The water is believed to come from a subsurface ocean on Europa. ~earthsky.org
“The new moon will fall in the area of the sky known as Hasta nakshatra – “the hand of god.” Hasta channels the brilliant light of Savitur, the Hindu deity of the dawn. Each morning, as the sun rises, Savitur breaks the darkness of night. His solar energy awakens consciousness on our planet and impels us into action. The power of the rising sun is beaming through the haze of the subconscious night on this new moon, offering inner clarity and radiating insight for all those who inquire.
The close proximity of expansive Jupiter in sidereal Virgo gives this new moon an extra dose of healing inspiration. It promotes interest in changing diet and lifestyle and opens opportunities for supportive self-care. Feeling depleted of energy is entirely possible; and for some, this new moon could trigger the deceptive and untrusting dark side of Hasta’s influence.

We meditate on the glory of that being who has produced this universe;
may its light shine into our minds.
New moons are portals (this world of riddled with holes!~L) to the inner world and the subconscious realm, and for this reason they can trigger anxiety and doubt. This upcoming lunar cycle has a special power to combat this.”
The LOVELY CLARISSA from REAL TIME ASTROLOGY at www.vivacombusta.com writes;
“The Libra Black New Moon will conjunct Jupiter at 4 degrees Libra. It will also sextile Saturn at 11 degrees Sagittarius and inconjunct/quincunx Neptune retrograde at 9 degrees Pisces, thus triggering the waning Saturn-Neptune squares. It will also square Mars and Pluto in Capricorn (2 and 14 degrees, respectively.)
The New Moon in Libra will be the first lunation after the eclipse season of September. The first lunations after eclipses are always bursting with energy, as they express things often overshadowed or “eclipsed” at the actual eclipses but that now come out full force. So, a very energetic Libra New Moon! The aspects definitely support an electric charge to the atmosphere, though there’s conflicting information in what will actually go down. It’s complicated…
On the one hand, it’s conjunct Jupiter in Libra! Woo-hoo! Throw some confetti in the air, a New Moon conjunct Jupiter is a party waiting to happen. It’s just easier to find joy, and Libra being a social sign, the Libra New Moon conjunct Jupiter is going to be about finding joy with others. You stay at home alone, you lose out. At least try to invite people over if you’re staying in. The sextile to Saturn in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius gives a nice opportunity to turn new friends or flirts or acquaintances into long lasting ones.
It’s a Friday night/Saturday morning, take a chance on love here. I’m not saying you’ll fall in love; hell, it might turn out a bit nasty with the squares to Mars and Pluto. Some of the hard transits of recent memory have either left certain folks lonely, or killed their mojo. Closed off to even entertaining the idea of fun love. (My hand is raised.~L) But, what is more likely is that you’ll be faced with a part of your dark psyche (Pluto) that forces you (Mars) to grow in positive ways (Jupiter) in your expectations of relationships (Libra). This growth can only be forced through interacting with others, there is no other way to grow in relationships other than, well, relating. (Well, dammit~L).~www.vivacombusta.com
“The New Moon often represents the planting of a seed, and the darkness that seed experiences before it begins to bloom. To have two New Moons in one month signifies a very powerful blossoming process and one that has probably been in the works for some time. September’s Black Moon is filled with positive aspects and plenty of opportunities. In fact, the entire week leading up to the Black Moon and the days that follow it, are going to be extremely positive and peaceful. The energy of this Black Moon is so supported by the other planets and it is very likely we will all be experiencing great epiphanies, opportunities and even, miracles.” ~www.foreverconscious.com
“I have always pooh-poohed Libra as way too superficial and boring. It’s anything but. From a cosmic perspective this is the horizon line where Earth and Sky connect, and what happens at this interface is absolutely awesome. By the Fall Equinox whatever we’ve been dreaming about, along with everyone else’s visions have reached their highest mode of expression. And none of us can grow any further if we don’t figure out how to weave what we’ve created into the universal matrix. What’s “out there” is dying to embrace us the same way Father Sky embraces Mother Earth at the horizon line. At the bottom line the need for “other” and the burning desire to see ourselves reflected in the eyes of another person comes from a yearning to experience our own divinity and be reminded that we are loved unconditionally by whatever is at the source.
In order for that to happen we have to surrender all of who we are, and all of what we’ve become as a result of this dream process, to something outside of ourselves. What good would it do to keep it all inside? How would it benefit anyone if we didn’t know enough to take our show on the road and see where we fit in to the greater whole?
“The days are getting shorter. Plants and trees are winding down their cycle of growth. Sadness – and courage – are natural emotions as these changes are taking place.
That’s part of what the Chinese philosophy of the five phases or five elements is trying to convey: for example, sadness is part of the autumn season. Sadness isn’t an emotion to be avoided at all costs. Instead, sadness is simply part of nature.
So to celebrate the autumn equinox as the Chinese philosophers did, you might …
Stand facing west, considered the direction of autumn in ancient Chinese philosophy. Just stand for a few moments and honor the “westness” of autumn. Consider your dreams and visions, and the path on which you’re moving forward through your life.
Light white candles against the growing darkness of the season. Or place white flowers on your table. White is the color of autumn in the Chinese tradition.
Allow yourself to weep for things you have lost. Weeping is the sound of this season, according to Chinese philosophy.
Find the courage to face what’s ahead.”
All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.

The Libra Equinox is a time to sow peace and gratitude. Any and all positive energy sent out at this time helps to ameliorate discordant energy, both in our personal lives and in the world at large.”
AS TO THE MATTER of NASA’S statement that your astrological sign has changed. This is untrue and political in nature. VIVEKA and research it. The first such hoax occurred in 1971.~L
“Astrologers use two zodiacs, One is sidereal and the other is tropical. The one most in the west are familiar with is the tropical–based on earth’s seasonal changes. Sidereal astrology is specific to the stars, Almost everyone’s sign slides backwards in Sidereal astrology by about 27 degrees when the horoscope is calculated in Sidereal time.” ~ www.horoscopesbyvivian.com
(But then, you already knew there wer two zodiacs, dincha? Keeping you hip. Viveka, viveka, viveka, Yoganauts. And then viveka some more and TRUST YOU.~L

“With Pluto resuming direct motion on Monday, we are provided with the opportunity to take hold of this clarity and form a new perspective, which can last. Both Venus and Mars change signs this week. Venus moves from Libra into Scorpio and Mars moves from Sagittarius into Capricorn. This is another indicator for a shift in perspective. The Sun meets Jupiter in early Libra to make a conjunction on Monday. This is a strong indicator for positive thinking, which encourages us to make personal progress.”

(A wise person just told me another way to embody the Divine Feminine energy that is coming forward. Treat my emotions as if the were my children and speak up for them when they need to be heard. The silence no longer serves. It’s time to say what is fair, balanced and equal FOR ME. ~L)
“You guys may not know this, but you can twist fate into your favor by where you choose to be at the moment the Sun returns to the exact position it was in, at the moment of your birth… It’s like being able to pick where you were born to get the best possible results…” ~daniel dowd atweeklyhoroscope.com
“This Sun/Jupiter conjunction is a time to expand our horizons, renew our faith in relationships, love, and life, and go for it! Of course, the old adage with Jupiter is just to not be too excessive and overdo it. Hard to manage these days, when it is all coming at us so fast and the future becomes the past in the wink of an eye. But hey, we’re all here together and united we stand, divided we fall says Sun/Jupiter in Libra, so reach out and touch someone!” ~Kaypacha Lescher of www.newparadigmastrology.com
“No matter how sacred, religious and utterly God/Goddessy a vibration or impulse seems – if it compels you to do things beyond your conscious control and Will, affecting your life in an adverse way – treat it as you would an addiction. There´s nothing wrong or shameful in that. But when your energy signature meets someone or something larger than itself that it cannot create a healthy relationship with – draw appropriate boundaries. Especially with Eris-Uranus conjunct tomorrow, I cannot understate the importance of spiritual and psychic boundaries – because this energy is HUGE. (Many astrologers cite it as the background energy for WW2. ~L)
Remember – as much as we may want to romanticize the Rising Feminine – Eris is the Goddess who basically caused the Trojan War. She threw down the Apple of Discord to a wedding party after she realized she didn´t get an invite. There are other ways to re-write and re-signify the Eris Myth, but that is the core. And at least a part of that energy will still play out in that narrative.
Coming from the Heart and striving to find a space of Detached Calmness through the Storm does not negate the need for Change nor does it invalidate the pain and suffering that so many have borne. It simply means that we will be in a better space to act upon our deeper impulses and drives in ways that do not cause unnecessary damage. You will act out passionately, in whatever way you see fit, so it is best to have a counter-point, an anchor which allows you to reflect upon what you´re doing, how and why.
Blessings and Love ❤

Let yourself be you – as long as you do not hurt yourself or another in the process. (And no, walking out of a relationship or social arrangement of bondage and submission does not count as ´hurting another´ in this context). You don´t have to stop being a mother, a nurturer, a home-maker if you so choose – but you don´t have to be defined by those roles either. You don´t have to divorce them from the flame that is you.
Let others judge as they will. Let them walk away should your flame be too bright for them or force them to see that you can no longer be controlled.
This is your time to Roar.
Make it Loud, Proud – and from the Heart.
Blessings,

This week Mars enters a new sign for the first time in 2016 (Mars spent the first 9 months of 2016 in Scorpio or Sagittarius due to its retrograde cycle). Capricorn is of the best signs it can be in. Mars in Capricorn is cool-headed, calls the shots, cuts ties with what drags it down unnecessarily and does not wonder what to do. Mars in Capricorn makes a plan and sticks to it. Mars in Capricorn reminds us that in order to win this battle we need a goal and the courage to see it through, no matter what may come.”

And so it is, Yoganauts. Turns out the Eclipse series was my final Lunar Yoga Flow offering in Helena for a while. I got my ticket yesterday and I leave for Prague on Saturday 8 October, without plans to return. I am so excited I am levitating. After repeated attempts to expand my world and visit the planet outside the US, I have found my way to launch.
I will keep the emails and the blog updated as much as I can, but for the first month and a half I will be studying to attain my Oxford Trinity CertTESOL (certificate to Teach English as a foriegn language) so I will be BUSY. I already have homework! You know how I love to study and do research and it won’t be long before I can get back to teaching yoga, I hope. Along with the certification I am applying for a Czech visa, so I will be able to teach there.
This all came up so quickly that I may not have time to say goodbye in person, so I want you to know that I count each one of you among the things I am grateful for. I am blessed to have known you and even though there is distance, I hope we maintain our communication. Feel free to email me here, by clicking reply, commenting on the blog: www.dogmoonyoga.wordpress.com and if I may ask your aid in this time of transition (turns out I’m not the world’s greatest financial planner–I thought having no credit cards for 10 years was a good thing, turns out the credit bureaus can’t even establish my identity!!) visiting Lunar Yoga Flow is Heading to Prague to access my crowdfunding campaign. A very fond farewell, Yoganauts. Till we meet again, Mind your heart. ~L
